A New Life...

There is something romantic about old rusted out cars abandoned on the side of the road. I recently started pulling over and snapping some shots of them in all their organic glory. It amazes me how nature really starts to take over and transform these vehicles into beautiful works of art.

I wanted to play around with the photos and see if I could bring a commonality to them other than just abandoned old vehicles. I used a free online photos editing program Picnik (absolutely love for quick touch ups) and made some custom changes to the exposure and colour palette to better suit my predominantly Turquoise home.

I LOVE the original but I had to change it up to make a set of three.

The old boat now reflects it's once voyage colours!

Over exposing this one really made the textures stand out!

These three now sit in a frame on my kitchen shelf, awaiting the possibility that I may one day have them printed in a large format and professionally framed.
